Mission
The EVOLVE project has 3 general objectives:
- Measure the system value of increasing ocean energy penetration. The system value includes economic metrics such as market prices and balancing costs, and system security metrics, for example capacity credit and loss of load expectation.
- Conduct system value analysis over a range of temporal and spatial scales, from individual power plants to country-wide power systems, to produce relevant outputs for a wide range of stakeholders.
- Engage with stakeholders throughout the project to ensure that the scenarios and case studies we study and the outputs we produce are valuable to the ocean energy sector and to anyone with an interest in energy systems.
